{"id":155,"date":"2023-09-14T08:13:24","date_gmt":"2023-09-14T07:13:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/edrickedwards.com\/?p=155"},"modified":"2023-09-14T08:14:24","modified_gmt":"2023-09-14T07:14:24","slug":"its-a-family-affair","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/edrickedwards.com\/?p=155","title":{"rendered":"It\u2019s a family affair"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><br>The dust has now settled after  dismissal elections in Zimbabwe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The cost of living has sky rocketed,the people of Zimbabwe are suffering from a raft of economic problems, including high inflation, the local currency has lost half its value to the US dollar in June, and Emmerson Mnangagwa still believes that he\u2019s a gamer changer!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To everyone\u2019s disbelief Emmerson Mnangagwa has appointed his son David&nbsp;&nbsp;as the deputy of finance among 26 officials sworn in as cabinet ministers on Tuesday 12 of September and to add the salt to the wound he has also appointed his nephew Tongai as the deputy minister in the country\u2019s tourism ministry.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zimbabwe is now turned out to be a family business which run by criminals..This is nepotism, Zimbabwe has been struggling economically for about 25 years or even more because the people in charge are mismanaging the funds and what Zimbabwe needs are the right critical minds to drive the economy forward.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The government of Zimbabwe is constituted of his\u00a0\u00a0friends, family, loyalists and the least qualified. When will it stop, when will Zimbabwe return to its glory days.
